Lady Gaga: You and I

Now we all know that I'm a GIGANTIC fan of Gaga.  Truly she's the best thing to come along since The Beatles (that's just MY opinion though, I know a lot of people think this is far from the truth).  Anyway, I always do reviews of the looks she sports in her new videos.  I hadn't done a review for "You and I", not because I didn't have time, but because, its a video that is so difficult to describe.  I guess I needed time to take it in and give my opinion on it.  So here are some of my favorite stills from the video....

The video begins with this look.  Part funeral, part robot, part businesswoman.  Gaga, that's what I love about you, you always leave me pleasantly confused!

We can't forget the now iconic, dirty, bloody feet.  Gaga walked all the way from New York to Nebraska for her cool guy, and she's not leaving with out him!

Nymph Gaga.  This is the prettiest look I've seen her with.

The dance number in the cornfield.

The piano in the middle of the cornfield.  Only the Lady could come up with an idea like this one.

Gaga macking on her alter-ego Jo Calderone....OH YEAH!

She looks surprisingly hot as a man.

SOOO PRETTY!  

When I first saw the video, this was one of the shots that most impressed me.  I swear, Gaga has like the best makeup team EVER!  Yuyi came to life beautifully!

GILLS...SCALES...enough said.

Mermaid sex...no matter how much I ponder upon it, I can't figure out how the hell its done.

She's wrapped like a sandwich.

This one, I really didn't get the concept of.

Gaga should go back to being a brunette, it suits her.

The experiment of love.

With Gaga there always has to be a big dance number.  Here it is, with her crazy, sexy outfit and her aqua hair.

If someone can pull off being eyebrow-less, its Lady Gaga.

And the video ends with this shot.  She marries the love of her life in her mother's wedding dress.  So romantic!

Pretty Woman....Comedy, Romance, Fashion

Pretty Woman is like the PERFECT romantic comedy.  Julia Roberts, Richard Gere (back in his handsome days!), lots of aww moments, and amazing fashion moments for Julia as well.  Its been my favorite romantic comedy since I was like, what, 12?  Anyways, being such a fan of the movie, when I saw this editorial, I fell head over heels.  I love it, love it, love it....see why after the jump!

The iconic dress.  I'm still hunting for something like it at thrift stores.  Yeah that's right, I don't care if I look like a hooker!!!!

I truly started to do my hair just like this after seeing the movie for the first time.

Lea T for Numero June 2011

Lea T, one of my favorite models ever, looks stunning in daring black and white shots for Numero.  Check her out!

Props to the makeup artist...the contrast of the dark eyes and bleached eyebrows is awesome!

That is one cool fur coat.  Adding zippers gives it a cool, tough vibe.

Like almost everything recently, this shot reminds me of 70's editorials.

Plaid, polka dots, lace and a turban.  Not the most typical combination, but it works!

This reminds me of someone from the 80's, I just can't recall who.

The dress is half Mexican, and half board game inspired.

That 70's Editorial

I know that this trend is soon to pass, but I'm still in love with the 70's.  I'm guessing that after this fall, it'll be pretty much over, considering how quickly the fashion industry changes its mind (let's hope its not over though!). Anyways this is one of my favorite 70's inspired editorials, that appears in Vogue Paris September 2011 and features Anja Rubik.

The colors in this image are absolutely astounding.

This shot combines so many of my favorite things:  peacock, sheer material, fur, western shoewear, denim, and vests.....its like the story of my closet!

Who's Ready For Fall?

Around the middle of every season I find myself extremely impatient for the next season to come .  That's what's been happening to me recently.  I didn't even feel like posting about fashion in the hot weather because I've been so desperate for the freakin cold to return.  Seriously, the weather here in California makes me wanna shoot myself sometimes!  Oh and to top it all off the air conditioners in both my car and house plotted against me and stopped working.  So I'm left to burn 24/7!  I cannot wait for fall to be here, when I can be comfortable and ready for fall!

Yeah, I cannot wait to be able to wear long sleeves once more!
