The Eternal Queen of Fashion: Kate Moss

Kate Moss has not had to die to become a legend. She is a fashion legend while having been alive only 37 summers. She completely revolutionized the fashion world in the 90's and continues to do so. Kate is one of the few models who actually deserves the title 'supermodel' to be applied to her. Proof of this is her latest editorial in Vogue Japan for May 2011.......
Like the title of the editorial says, Kate is sheer perfection. (Sorry, I had to retouch her nipples, I don't want any trouble with the people of Blogger)

I can't focus on just one thing in this shot. Although the elements in this photograph are quite different from each other, they blend together to make a majestic work of art.

This is so fairy-tale like!

You know what its like, when something is so wonderful that there are no words to describe it? Well that's what I feel this is, I cannot find good enough words to describe this photo.

The contrast of the fancy evening gown and the cheap mattress and dingy room is fascinating.

Speechless once again!

Everytime I see anything that required Kate Moss's participation, I get overly excited. That's what happened when I saw the title of this editorial in my inbox just a few minutes ago. Apparently though, I am completely justified in my bursts of excitement...Kate Moss has the capability of blowing anyone away!

Astonish Magazine: Issue Zero

When I first saw the cover of Astonish Magazine Issue Zero, I gasped. The work that the Astonish Team has done on their first cover is astonishing, like their namesake. This completely blew me away! The lighting, the material of the dress, the vibrant colors, and the gorgeous model that was used for it, exceeds anyone's expectations! Take a look at this........

I see talent, immense talent, in the people that worked on this. Their efforts paid off though, the magazine is starting out with a bang! After seeing this I cannot wait for the next issue, Issue One, to be published and I'm sure many other people feel that way also!

You can check out the full first issue on their website, I promise there's going to be a lot more to love about it! http://www.astonishmagazine.com/

Magazine Love: Foam

Yeah, I'm going a little over the the top with all the posts about Foam Magazine, but I feel like I completely identify with the editorials in this April/May issue. I love it all, and I cannot help myself, sorry if you are getting bored of all the Foam posts!

This is a swimsuit editorial called "Rainbow Bright", which includes the vibrant shots of color that are all the rage this spring season. See for yourself.....

I like their new take on swimwear, with the combination of winter and summer pieces. Its different, and it works well!

pauline3 Pauline Van der Cruysse by Daemian Smith & Christine Suarez for Foam
This one is inspiring me to do a DIY project and cut slits up my boring, black, one- piece swimsuit!

pauline4 Pauline Van der Cruysse by Daemian Smith & Christine Suarez for Foam
They made this editorial very realistic. The hairstylist even took the time to frizz up her hair, just as if she was at the beach.

Strangely, the thing I noticed the most about this shot was how well the color of the bikini suits her skin.

Russh Magazine: It's All About The Hair!

Now I usually don't do posts on hair and makeup, but I shall make an exception today. Its Russh Magazine we are talking about here, and they always do an incredible job with their editorials. Plus I have a thing for the land down under, and the magazine is a native of Australia. Now that I've explained my reasons for this rather unusual post, you can take a look at the epic nature of the editorial....

This one made me so jealous! Oh to have that hair and those perfect pouty lips....

Goth chic....

I want to try this slicked back look sometime in the future, when I dare to look like a rockstar!

I feel the Native American vibes in this shot.

russhbeauty4 Cassi & Hirschy by Stephen Ward for Russh #39
Whenever I see the pompadour, I automatically think of Janelle Monae. Sorry, I got sidetracked right there...the makeup artist did a fascinating job with the eyeliner. I might muster up the courage and wear a look like that sometime!

russhbeauty6 Cassi & Hirschy by Stephen Ward for Russh #39
The makeup is so natural, and earthy. I think this would be a perfect day look, this is the one I will try out tommorow!

Free People!!!!

One of my favorite brands of all time is Free People! Their last lookbook was a major source of inspiration for me. The 70's and bohemian vibes they portrayed were incredible...it was one of my favorite lookbooks of the season. Now they have launched their April 2011 catalogue, with none other than Sasha Pivovarova as their model. Look at it below, you won't regret it!!!

A bohemian jumper! Notice the yellow tribal paint on Sasha's arms. I'd like to know who designed those wonderful pieces of jewelery. I need to get my hands on some of those!

GOODNESS! This is just unbelievable! Somebody please tell me who the stylist was in this shoot, that person deserves a party!

Her fishtail braid...the sheer skirt...the jewelery, all that is awe-inspiring on its own. The baby leopard however, was the cherry on top of this delicious fashion sundae!

I am SO glad flared pants are back! I've been missing them for years!

I literally gasped when I took a look at this shot! The photographer, Guy Aroch, is must be oozing talent, because this is unbelievably beautiful! The colors and the lighting are sheer perfection.

I'm having a fashion overdose right now....WOW!!!

sasha pivovarova9 Sasha Pivovarova for Free People April 2011 Catalogue
I think the concept behind this shot was that Sasha's look was inspired by the peacock's feathers. Its marvelous!

I was once obsessed with this brand, and this catalogue has raised my degree of obsession by 200 percent!!! I am going over to their site this instant http://www.freepeople.com/, and ordering in bulk!

She's a Badass: Erin Wasson

I love it when things just look 'cool'. That's what the following campaign is, its just cool! The clothes are so badass and COOL! Take a look to see what I mean............

OH-MY-GOD! Shirt ripped to look like a skull! I want to make one NOW!

This photoshoot was for Zadig and Voltaire's spring 2011 campaign. I think Erin Wasson was made to model for them. She fits into their concept seamlessly! Love it!

Soft and Delicate Details

Foam Magazine is on a roll for its April/ May 2011 issue. My previous post was about an editorial for this magazine, and I'm doing it again....I can't get enough of the magazine. I'm subscribing to the magazine as soon as possible! I need a physical copy in my hands as soon as possible!

The softness and delicacy of the shots in this editorial appeal to me more than ever...its this kind of editorial that gets me inspired!

The model in this editorial is Zippora Seven and the photographer is Trevor King.....

zippora seven Zippora Seven by Trevor King for Foam April/May 2011
Surprisingly, what I notice the most in this editorial is the placement of the model. She is exactly in the middle of the fences behind her, that gently slope upward. Its those little details that make photographs perfect.

zippora seven1 Zippora Seven by Trevor King for Foam April/May 2011

This is so exquisite! The combination of the rocks, the surf and the tiny model in the middle of it all...its breathtaking........

A tie-dye KISS shirt...somehow that works in this shot!

zippora seven3 Zippora Seven by Trevor King for Foam April/May 2011
The photography, its so beautiful I can't find the right words to describe it!

zippora seven4 Zippora Seven by Trevor King for Foam April/May 2011
What Zippora is wearing in the photo to the right enhances her natural beauty more than ever!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Foam Magazine! I can't wait to receive my first copy in a couple of weeks! I can tell that they only publish the best of the best for the magazine.
